Most recently I managed the data and network infrastructure, computers, and website for a company that builds and trains customers on the use of small, unmanned aerial vehicles. Prior to that I administered Windows and Linux servers, managed PBX and VoIP phone systems, and provided end-user support on Windows and Mac platforms. I designed, implemented, and managed a help desk, inventory and knowledge base system for a group of five companies.
I have familiarity in maintaining data backups and setting up user accounts in both Windows and Linux. I've also managed cloud-based email, and maintained hardware/software licensing, ordered, provided specifications for, and purchased company computer equipment for employees.

Self-Initiated Projects

    Improved Efficiency:

  • Built a free Help Desk ticketing, Inventory, and Knowledge Base server
  • Put a web company directory in place that pulls info from Active Directory
  • Wrote Linux bash script to clear multiple hung sessions simultaneously
  • Built an electronic form to track requisition of equipment and consumables
  • Designed electronic pick ticket warehouse inventory request form
  • Virtualized legacy application to allow running it on new hardware while a new system is under development

  • Bought surplus desk phones and saved over $4000 over brand new models
  • Partnered with local channel vendor to save $900 on warranty renewal
  • Collaborated with a co-worker to build a no-cost network PC deployment solution using FOG Project in CentOS 6.6
